Indy Marketers a Have A Technological Leg Up on Their Competition
Among 117 CMOs and marketing execs from companies like Dow Corning, GE, IBM, and Xerox, 96 percent said in a recent survey that changes in marketing technology are a top concern, and that more change is coming fast.
Indianapolis marketers have a leg up on their competition because they live and work in a city with at least 30 marketing tech firms, including several that are making national headlines for their enterprise software and digital marketing innovation. Local marketing tech companies provide marketers with a wide variety of applications that improve marketing effectiveness and increase sales.
In fact, local leaders are hoping to strengthen ties between Indy's marketing and technology communities with a new event called M-TECH: The Marketing Tech Experience, and promoting the city as "the marketing tech capital of the world."
Coming up on Sept. 19, marketing professionals will have the unprecedented opportunity to interact with Indy’s marketing tech scene all at one time during M-TECH at the JW Marriott. There will be dozens of rapid-fire presentations on the Insights Stage, software demonstrations on the Demo Stage, and an exhibit hall full of new marketing technologies to discover.
The aforementioned Forrester survey indicated that CMO roles are bigger than ever and viewed as more critical, with more access to and influence over boards of directors. Among the 117 CMO participants, 114 agreed that marketing must do things that it hasn’t done ever before to be successful in the future, and more than half of them reported that they are turning to technology through dramatically increased relationships with their chief information officers.
IndyAMA members have the exclusive opportunity to buy tickets for M-TECH at a discounted $89, and explore Indy’s marketing tech offerings, as well as see keynote speaker Condoleezza Rice, and thought leadership panelists Scott Dorsey of ExactTarget and Todd Wagner of Broadcast.com.
