Volunteer Spotlight - Sally Cutler
Meet IndyAMA member and communications volunteer, Sally Cutler.
Day Job: Customer Service Representative at Allegra Integrated Communications
What your job entails: I get to work with a variety of customers and help them meet their goals through the development and production of printed materials, promotional items, and marketing communication plans. I work closely with our graphics and production staff, as well as our sales team, to assist our customers.
What I find most exciting/interesting/enjoyable about marketing: It is rewarding to work together with fellow marketing professionals to create memorable, effective, and economical pieces and plans. I love seeing a plan take shape and then develop into a full-fledged campaign. I have a soft spot for great writing and design.
What I love about the Indy AMA: The exposure to talented, savvy marketing professionals is great. I have been so impressed by the luncheon speakers and the wide variety of areas of marketing expertise they have represented.
Why I chose this particular volunteer position (Communications Committee): I like being a part of the planning and promotion of AMA and the opportunity to become more experienced at e-communication and social media.
What I do for fun: My family enjoys visiting metropolitan areas. Fortunately, my husband and I have one son in Chicago and I have two brothers in New York City—so we have an “excuse” to do this fairly often.
You might be surprised to know that I…. had the opportunity recently to write an installment of a history anthology for my sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, covering a 25-year period in its history. I got to combine my interests in history, research, and writing for this assignment.
